Inscriptions

A message consisting of a set of ten guidelines or principles was engraved on the Georgia Guidestones in eight different languages, one language on each face of the four large upright stones. Moving clockwise around the structure from due north, these languages were?,?,?,?,?,?,?, and?.?The languages were chosen because they represented most of humanity, while Hebrew was chosen because of its connections to Judaism and Christianity.?The inscriptions are reportedly according to the organizers to guide humanity to??after a?, which the creators thought was an imminent threat.

The inscription read:

  1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
  2. Guide reproduction wisely – improving fitness and diversity.
  3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
  4. Rule passion – faith – tradition – and all things with tempered reason.
  5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
  6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
  7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
  8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
  9. Prize truth – beauty – love – seeking harmony with the infinite.
  10. Be not a cancer on the Earth – Leave room for nature – Leave room for nature.

Flag Cake

?
A healthier version of the classic patriotic Flag Cake that looks beautiful and is easy to make. Fluffy, sweet, and absolutely delicious!

PREP:45?mins
COOK:20?mins
TOTAL:1?hr?35?mins

SERVINGS:??servings

Ingredients??
1x2x3x

For the Flag Cake:

    AD
  • 1/2?cup?unsalted butter?softened to room temperature (1 stick)
  • 1?cup?granulated sugar
  • 1/2?cup?honey
  • 2?large eggs?at room temperature
  • 2?teaspoons?vanilla extract
  • 3/4?cup?nonfat plain Greek yogurt?at room temperature
  • 1 1/4?cups?*
  • 1?cup?all-purpose flour
  • AD
  • 1?teaspoon?baking soda
  • 1/2?teaspoon?kosher salt
  • 3/4?cup?milk?plus 2 tablespoons—any kind you like—I used 2%, at room temperature

For the Frosting and Decoration:

  • 12?ounces?reduced-fat cream cheese?Neufchatel, at room temperature
  • 6?tablespoons?unsalted butter?at room temperature
  • 1 1/3?cups?powdered sugar
  • AD
  • 1/4?cup?nonfat plain Greek yogurt?at room temperature
  • 1?teaspoon?pure vanilla extract
  • 1?cup?fresh blueberries
  • 2-3?cups?sliced fresh strawberries?

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Generously grease and lightly flour an 11×17-inch half-sheet pan or coat with baking spray (the floured kind, like this). Set aside.
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or a large bowl with a hand mixer or spoon, cream the butter for 1 minute on medium speed, until it is smooth and creamy. Add the sugar on medium speed and beat until fluffy and light in color. Beat in the honey, then the eggs and vanilla until smooth and nicely combined, stopping to scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl a few times. The mixture may look curdled. Beat in the yogurt on medium-high speed until blended.
?
In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Pour one-third of the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Beat on low speed for 5 seconds, then pour in half of the milk. Beat on low speed for 5 seconds. Repeat with the next third of the flour, then the remaining half of the milk. Add the last third of the flour and beat just until combined and the batter is smooth. Do not overmix.

Spread the cake batter into the prepared pan, smoothing it into a thin, even layer with a rubber spatula or offset spatula. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes or until the top is lightly browned and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, rotating the pan 180 degrees once halfway through.

Place the baked cake on a wire rack and let cool in the pan completely. Meanwhile, make the frosting.

For the frosting: In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or a large bowl with a hand mixer or spoon, beat the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, yogurt, and vanilla on medium speed until smooth and combined.

Spread the frosting over the cooled cake. Arrange blueberries in rows in top left corner to form the “star” portion of the flag. Line the strawberry slices in 5 rows to form the “stripes.” Refrigerate until ready to serve.

?

Notes

  • *You can substitute the same amount of all-purpose flour for the 1 1/4 cups white whole wheat flour. If you make this swap, reduce the amount of milk in the recipe to 3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon.
  • Cake can be made 1 day in advance, covered tightly at room temperature, and then frosted before serving. Frosting can also be made 1 day ahead of time and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Let come to room temperature for easier frosting of the cake.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator, tightly covered, for up to 3 days. You can also remove the fruit and store for up to 5 days in the refrigerator or freeze for up to 3 months.

NOT senior citizens

Senior citizens are constantly being criticized for every conceivable deficiency of the modern world, real or imaginary. We know we take responsibility for all we?have?done?and do not try to blame others.

HOWEVER,?upon reflection, we would like to point out that it was?NOT?senior citizens who took:?The?melody?out of music,
The?pride?out of appearance,
The?courtesy?out of driving,
The?romance?out of love,
The?commitment?out of marriage,?
The?responsibility?out of parenthood,
The?togetherness?out of the family,??
The?learning?out of education,
The?service?out of patriotism,???
The?Golden Rule?from rulers,
The?nativity?scene out of cities,??
The?civility?out of behavior,
The?refinement?out of language,
The?dedication?out of employment,
The?prudence?out of spending and saving.
The?ambition?out of achievement or
God out of government and school.
And we certainly are?NOT?the ones who
eliminated
?patience?and?tolerance?from

And, we?DO?understand the meaning of
patriotism, and remember those who have
fought and died for our country.?

?
Just look at the Seniors with tears in their eyes and pride in their hearts, as they stand at attention with their hand over their hearts, as the American Flag passes by in a parade!

YES, I'M A SENIOR CITIZEN!
I'm the life of the party..Even if it lasts until 8 p.m.??

Sad, but True

开云体育

Sharing this from a friend:

This? says exactly how I feel...? sad but true, and yes ... we owe it to our patriots who have sacrificed so much for our country and our freedoms to to never give up!

It is so sad to see what has happened to this once great country in such a short time, the future does not look good.

“Men, like nations, think they’re eternal. What man in his 20s or 30s doesn’t believe, at least subconsciously, that he’ll live forever?? In the springtime of youth, an endless summer beckons.? As you pass 70, it’s harder to hide from reality.

Nations also have seasons: Imagine a Roman of the 2nd century contemplating an empire that stretched from Britain to the Near East, thinking: This will endure forever…. Forever was about 500 year, give or take.

France was pivotal in the 17th and 18th centuries; now the land of Charles Martel is on its way to becoming part of the Muslim ummah.

In the 19th and early 20th centuries, the sun never set on the British empire; now Albion exists in a perpetual twilight.? Its 95-year-old sovereign is a fitting symbol for a nation in terminal decline.

In the 1980s, Japan seemed poised to buy the world. Business schools taught Japanese management techniques. Today, its birth rate is so low and its population aging so rapidly that an industry has sprung up to remove the remains of elderly Japanese who die alone.

I was born in 1942, almost at the midpoint of the 20th century – the American century.? America’s prestige and influence were never greater. Thanks to the ‘Greatest Generation,’ we won a World War fought throughout most of Europe, Asia and the Pacific. We reduced Germany to rubble and put the rising sun to bed.? It set the stage for almost half a century of unprecedented prosperity.

We stopped the spread of communism in Europe and Asia, and fought international terrorism. We rebuilt our enemies and lavished foreign aid on much of the world.? We built skyscrapers and rockets to the moon. We conquered Polio and now COVID.? We explored the mysteries of the Universe and the wonders of DNA…the blueprint of life.

But where is the glory that once was Rome?? America has moved from a relatively free economy to socialism – which has worked so well NOWHERE in the world.

We’ve gone from a republican government guided by a constitution to a regime of revolving elites. We have less freedom with each passing year. Like a signpost to the coming reign of terror, the cancel culture is everywhere. We’ve traded the American Revolution for the Cultural Revolution.

The pathetic creature in the White House is an empty vessel filled by his handlers. At the G-7 Summit, ‘Dr. Jill’ had to lead him like a child. In 1961, when we were young and vigorous, our leader was too. Now a feeble nation is technically led by the oldest man to ever serve in the presidency.

We can’t defend our borders, our history (including monuments to past greatness) or our streets. Our cities have become anarchist playgrounds. We are a nation of dependents, mendicants, and misplaced charity. Homeless veterans camp in the streets while illegal aliens are put up in hotels.

The president of the United States can’t even quote the beginning of the Declaration of Independence (‘You know — The Thing’) correctly. Ivy League graduates routinely fail history tests that 5th graders could pass a generation ago.? Crime rates soar and we blame the 2nd. Amendment and slash police budgets.

Our culture is certifiably insane. Men who think they’re women. People who fight racism by seeking to convince members of one race that they’re inherently evil, and others that they are perpetual victims. A psychiatrist lecturing at Yale said she fantasizes about ‘unloading a revolver into the head of any white person.’

We slaughter the unborn in the name of freedom, while our birth rate dips lower year by year.? Our national debt is so high that we can no longer even pretend that we will repay it one day. It’s a $28-trillion monument to our improvidence and refusal to confront reality. Our ‘entertainment’ is sadistic, nihilistic and as enduring as a candy bar wrapper thrown in the trash. Our music is noise that spans the spectrum from annoying to repulsive.

Patriotism is called insurrection, treason celebrated, and perversion sanctified.? A man in blue gets less respect than a man in a dress.? We’re asking soldiers to fight for a nation our leaders no longer believe in.?

How meekly most of us submitted to Fauci-ism (the regime of face masks, lockdowns? and hand sanitizers) shows the impending death of the American spirit.

How do nations slip from greatness to obscurity?

? Fighting endless wars they can’t or won’t win

? Accumulating massive debt far beyond their ability to repay

? Refusing to guard their borders, allowing the nation to be inundated by an alien horde

? Surrendering control of their cities to mob rule

? Allowing indoctrination of the young

? Moving from a republican form of government to an oligarchy

? Losing national identity

? Indulging indolence

? Abandoning faith and family – the bulwarks of social order.

In America, every one of these symptoms is pronounced, indicating an advanced stage of the disease.

Even if the cause seems hopeless, do we not have an obligation to those who sacrificed so much to give us what we had?? I’m surrounded by ghosts urging me on: the Union soldiers who held Cemetery Ridge at Gettysburg, the battered bastards of Bastogne, those who served in the cold hell of Korea, the guys who went to the jungles of Southeast Asia and came home to be reviled or neglected.

This is the nation that took in my immigrant grandparents, whose uniform my father and most of my uncles wore in the Second World War. I don’t want to imagine a world without America, even though it becomes increasingly likely.

During Britain’s darkest hour, when its professional army was trapped at Dunkirk and a German invasion seemed imminent, Churchill reminded his countrymen, ‘Nations that go down fighting rise again, and those that surrender tamely are finished.’?

The same might be said of causes. If we let America slip through our fingers, if we lose without a fight, what will posterity say of us?

While the prognosis is far from good, only God knows if America’s day in the sun is over.”

Country music star and U.S. Army veteran Craig Morgan shares a Memorial Day message with our military and honors heroes at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry.

Country singer Craig Morgan urges veterans, troops to 'be proud' this Memorial Day

Army veteran stresses service and gratitude as he pays tribute to America's heroes

Country music artist Craig Morgan continues to make honoring America’s heroes a priority.

As the nation honors America's fallen on?, Morgan — a 10-year veteran of the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division — encouraged all military personnel to "be proud" of their service.?

"Be proud," he said in an interview. "Simple."

"As?, we’re not always in a place of positive energy or positive light," he also told Fox News Radio and Fox News Digital.?

"But every service member, regardless of where or when they served, they should be proud."?

They should "be proud," he added, "of what they have done and the privilege that they have served."?

The singer performed at the recent Grand Ole Opry’s Salute the Troops event, which, Morgan said, was a "very humbling" experience for him.?

Morgan emphasized how important country music is to our nation as the Opry honored America’s heroes, past and present, at its annual event. ?

"There’s a sense of gratitude for??in that group of people that they feel privileged to be able to share and discuss and be a part of," he said.

Morgan said he empathizes with attendees when he's performing at military events such as Salute the Troops, since he feels like he’s "still that soldier."

"I’m not a full-time soldier anymore, but that is still very much who I am," he said.?

"Going overseas and doing a show … it’s a little difficult because I still feel like I want to be the guy over there protecting the guy on the stage."

Morgan was first inducted into the Opry in 2008 during a special concert for U.S. troops at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he was stationed from 1990 to 1992.

The artist expressed his gratitude for being able to maintain a relationship with his military brothers and sisters through entertainment venues and other outlets.

Even though it’s been several decades since he was on active duty, Morgan still gives back to his military family by serving as an ambassador for?.?

The philanthropy provides and improves homes for veterans, first responders and their families.

"There's a lot of great organizations out there that do this sort of thing,"?, speaking on "Fox & Friends" about it a few years ago.?

"What I love about Operation Finally Home that they do differently is that they really, really involve the community. They get the community to donate time, effort, resources. What it does is create a relationship between the recipient and the community."

Actor-humanitarian behind Gary Sinise Foundation revealed why he assists America's military

Memorial Day, a federal holiday each year, is Monday, May 30, 2022, this year — and it's a special time set aside to??who died in service to America.

Gary Sinise, the award-winning actor, humanitarian and founder of the nonprofit Gary Sinise Foundation, is serving again this year as honorary grand marshal of the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C., which takes place on?

Some 5,000 participants are expected to parade down Constitution Avenue before a crowd of 250,000 people on Monday, according to the American Veterans Center in Arlington, Virginia.?

Sinise shared personal and deeply felt thoughts with Fox News Digital about how "incredibly important" it is to show support for America's military and their families today.

"Memorial Day has been a longstanding tradition of remembrance for me and my family," Sinise told Fox News Digital just ahead of the holiday weekend.

"It's incredibly important to honor the families of the fallen." — Gary Sinise to Fox News Digital

"We’re here for them before, during and after the battle."

Added Sinise, "That is one of the many reasons why I created?, because I want all our defender communities, our veterans, service members, first responders and their families who sacrifice alongside them to always know that there are grateful Americans who love and appreciate them."

"When I think about my participation in this year’s Memorial Day Parade, the first parade since before the pandemic, one simple word comes to mind.?Gratitude."

"I am grateful," he went on, "for the opportunity to honor our fallen. I am grateful to support the families of our fallen heroes."

"And I am grateful for every day that I have — to continue paying it forward to these brave men and women and ensuring that their memory and legacy of service to our country will never be forgotten," said Sinise.

"I am grateful to support the families of our fallen heroes."

The Gary Sinise Foundation, established over 10 years ago by Sinise — who for nearly 40 years has been active in his commitment to veterans, first responders and defenders — announced in April that it was moving its headquarters from Los Angeles, California, to?.

The move "complements its chapters on both coasts in San Diego, California, and Orlando, Florida," the organization said in late April.

The foundation noted that some 430,000 veterans live in Tennessee today.

"Tennessee and the neighboring states are in proximity to numerous active military installations and facilities."

"In addition, Tennessee and the neighboring states are in proximity to numerous active military installations and facilities. The move to Nashville will facilitate even more engagement with local communities, including first responders and other heroes, around the United States," the group shared with Fox News Digital.

Sinise said in that announcement that moving to Nashville "was a family decision. After 35 years in California, I began thinking about the possibility of relocating."

"With so many friends in the area, a great entertainment industry and its central location, I concluded it would be an exciting change for our family."?
