The?An?them Vet?er?ans Memorial?is a mon?u?ment lo?cated in??which was ded?i?cated in 2011 to honor the sac?ri?fice and ser?vice made by mem?bers of the?.

The memo?r?ial's five white pil?lars rep?re?sent the na?tion's mil?i?tary branches and are arranged in De?part?ment of De?fense order of prece?dence: Army, Ma?rine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Each pil?lar has an el?lip?ti?cal open?ing that slants down?ward to?ward?. On??– No?vem?ber 11 – the de?sign al?lows the sun's rays to spot?light the Great Seal at 11:11 am Moun?tain Stan?dard Time. The de?sign goal was 11:11:11 am, but the vari?a?tions each year cause the pre?cise align?ment over the next 100 years to be be?tween 11:10:58 and 11:11:22.

Due to the leap years dis?crep?ancy be?tween the of?fi?cial and as?tro?nom?i?cal cal?en?dar the ef?fect can be ob?served at least one day be?fore or after??as well.
