FW: [DXLab] IC-PW1 configuration in DXLabCommander
+ AA6YQ comments below
Dave, you note: “If the PW1 is connected to Commander's Secondary CAT port and no other device, then the only way CI-V collisions can occur is if the PW1 transmit CI-V messages.” Are you saying definitively that the PW1 is never shutting up? Could you can see this in an error log? + Yes, I should be able to do so. You should be able to see it in Commander's Messages window if you uncheck "Capture and display Primary CAT Port Messages" and check " Capture and display Secondary CAT Port Messages". The > and < characters to the immediate right of the timestamp will show whether Commander or the PW1 transmitted each message. 73, Dave, AA6YQ |

Re: IC-PW1 configuration in DXLabCommander
开云体育I have been working directly with Shige on this matter.? Shige did get DXLab Commander installed and working directly with his PW1.? However, the absence of CIV collisions is not consistent and most time fails to work properly after shut down and a restart.? Shige has performed exhaustive tests isolating various components and re-trying shut down and start up.? But the intermittent PW1 CIV collisions persist.? ? I believe the DXLab Commander PW1 CIV fix is working properly and there is a hardware intermittent somewhere we have been unable to detect. Shige is going to try a different hardware solution that I am sending him. ? 73, Dave, w6de ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]>

Re: Unable to upload to LotW
+ AA6YQ comments below
I've had one notice of a failed attempt to upload to LotW. I'm thinking that I need to manually upload later. I believe that this notice relates to a single QSO upload from DXLabs. I just don't know which one failed. Is there a DXLab way to find it? + Filter the Log Page Display with the SQL expression app_dxkeeper_lotw_qsl_sent <> 'Y' + Do any QSOs appear? 73, Dave AA6YQ |
Re: Double click on a spot doesn't change frequency on the RTX
I have recently stopped using a wireless keyboard and mouse and switched back to a wired keyboard and mouse due to too many missed keystrokes, missed mouse clicks, and difficulty with accurate mouse pointing.

Apart from this i didn't make changes (hardware or software) except changing the mouse color pointer (Mouse Windows preferences) choosing black pointer on white background (I'm an Apple technician since 1984). After reading your post i restored the default setup (white pointer on white background) and double clicking on a spot now the frequency change! Incredible! + I'm glad that the "fix" was simple, Franco. + When the behavior of a DXLab application suddenly changes, it's essential to immediately determine what cause that change. If you procrastinate, you may forget information about what changes you made to your hardware and software that may be responsible. Dave, AA6YQ |

Good morning, I have a problem with Pathfinder here. Pathfinder sometimes freezes. Then the only solution is CRTL-ALT-Delete and then force shutdown. and restart again then work pathfinder again. Sometimes it is very fast, other times it takes a little longer. are there more who recognize this problem? And perhaps already have a solution? I work with the complete DXLSuite thanks for the response. greeting Rien, PA7RA Stay Safe! |

+ You are the only one reporting this behavior. If the failure is intermittent, that greatly increases the likelihood of it being a problem specific to your system. + Pathfinder is Internet Explorer with some buttons provided to accelerate searches for QSL information. If the misbehavior you are reporting is the result of a software defect, that defect lies in Internet Explorer. ? ? ? ? ? ? 73, ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?Dave, AA6YQ |
Re: Pathfinder Freezes
There's not enough hours, days or years left in my lifetime to try to get anything from Microsoft.?
?
At least when I posted this a few years ago, I was not the only one experiencing the issue.? ? If I am not the only person with the issue, it reduces the chance that it is my computer set up (which is the same computer for the past ten years or so)
?
I checked the Config in PF and it is set at 11.? ?
?
I cannot make this happen, I have tried.? It is purely random.? ?When it is locked up, I have tried various attempts at resurrection before termination.? ?You can hover the mouse over the PF window and the Window wakes up.? But the mouse will not do anything.? ? No responses to clicks on anything on the window.? If you move the mouse to another window, the new window activates and the mouse works fine.? ?PF is on its own monitor and consumes the entire monitor screen.? I have changed monitors, changed video drivers and no difference noted.? The only thing that I think may be a common denominator is that it seems to occur when the radio is just sitting on and not being used for some extended period.? ?But not every time as I often leave the radio on during the day while I am doing other stuff, when I return most times it is normal.? ?
?
Because of the random nature of the issue, I am hesitant to do the "safe mode" test I it could set there for hours and nothing would happen.? ?This may occur every two or three days of routinely operating.? ?
?
Is there something that I can change and run an extended test while normally operating?

Re: Pathfinder Freezes
+ AA6YQ comments below
Pathfinder freezing has continued to be a problem since this was first posted years ago. Since then I have changed monitors, video drivers, versions of Pathfinder, and it still locks up. When it does, you can activate the window with a mouse click, but it is totally unresponsive to any mouse clicks beyond that. You have to terminate via Launcher (Control Click) or thought Task Manager. When it restarts, all if hunky Dorey until the next ice age appears. + Reboot Windows into "Safe Mode with Networking" and then start Pathfinder with no other applications running. Open the Configuration window and make sure the "Internet Explorer Emulation" at the bottom shows version 11; if not, click the "Update Emulation" button. + Does Pathfinder still freeze? 73, Dave, AA6YQ |

Where on the dxcc record does it state whether its card or lotw, and why does it matter?

+ The report was not solely "card confirmation vs LOTW confirmation". The report was "DXCC credit granted" vs "No DXCC credit granted". Dave On Mar 30, 2025, at 11:53?AM, Joe Subich, W4TV <lists@...> wrote: |
Re: Verified vs Confirmed on LoTW
DXCC entities verified by cards only have the information from the card that applies to DXCC, so if that particular card is also good for WAZ or VUCC you would have to resubmit it for the other award. LOTW confirmations/verifications contain that extra info so you can more easily get credit for other awards.

Sounds like an issue with the Microsoft supplied Internet Explorer DLLs.
