Re: SP Prob & LP Prob
+ AA6YQ comments below
Just before this was posted yesterday, I managed to work 5H1KB, Tanzania on 10 meters FT8. As per my usual routine for suspected weak signals I looked at ±Ê°ù´Ç±è³Õ¾±±ð·É¡¯²õ prediction graph. Not only was 10 meters predicted to be good, the chart had the maximum usable frequency above 6-meters. I have never heard or worked a 6-meter African station from here on the West Coast. But it was nice to see the prediction and maybe I¡¯ll work a few 6-meter African QS0s this sun Spot Cycle.. + I have found this Maximum Usable Frequency map to be useful: 73, Dave, AA6YQ |

+ You can send a directive to a running instance of DXKeeper to import an ADIF file, using DDE or TCP. Let me know if you want the details.

Malwarebytes¡.maybe it will go thru on my phone+ In + the entry for Malwarebytes says ", when configured for continuous monitoring, has been reported to cause significant slowdowns, however, one-time scans are not problematic; see the?Additional Notes?below." + The Additional Notes contain this report from Bill G4WJS (now SK): "The Malwarebytes premium version protects Internet service ports by monitoring traffic, if it sees traffic going to a local server that it does not know about it grabs that port and sits on it so no other applications can run a service on that port. It can be very confusing as the first packet of information will be delivered then the service trying to use the port then gets blocked by the Malwarebytes service that hijacks the port. This can be hard to trace using normal system tools as the hijacked port is held by a Windows service process that cannot be easily attributed to Malwarebytes. To diagnose this, use the 'netstat -abn' command from an Administrator command prompt and check the output for the port the non-working service application is expected to be listening on. If the listening process is shown as svchost.exe then a Windows service is using the port. The final step is to move the non-working service to another free port and if that too then appears to be in use by a svchost.exe process then Malwarebytes is probably the culprit." |

+ Right-click the QSO in the Log Page Display, and select "Update from LoTW" from the pop-up menu.I was trying to recover a LOTW confirmation on a single contact. + Direct LoTW to download those 100K QSO to an ADIF file. Then you can import them into a new DXKeeper log to analyze themI did the CTRL sync QSO's and LOTW is reporting over 100k qso's. DXK log says 76k.Is the 100k that LOTW? states include other calls I have used such as DXpeditions?? I am unsure where I would have made 30k qsos that got uploaded to LOTW without using DXK. BTW inspecting 100k qsos takes a very long time.+ CTRL-Sync-LoTW-QSOs doesn't just inspect each QSO, it searches your entire log looking for each QSO reported by LoTW and then updates the QSO it locates. ? ? ? ?73, ? ? ? ? ? ? Filter question
I wrote the following filter in Spot Collector: (SPSNR>ReqSNR or LPSNR>ReqSNR) and <Needfilter> and <LotWfilter> and <Modefilter> and <Bandfilter> and <Agefilter>I "expected" to get spots with SP or LP of over 50, and higher, and I do, but I also get some spots where SP and LP are both blank (NOT on six meters).? Did I misunderstand something? Thanks, Earl / KD5XB e e

To repair it, 1. make sure you have a backup of your log stored elsewhere. Don't delete anything. 2. terminate all applications except the Launcher 3. direct the Launcher to create a new Workspace, and populate it with DXKeeper's settings 4. terminate the Launcher 5. reboot Windows 6. using the Windows Control Panel's "Uninstall an program" function, direct Windows to uninstall DXKeeper 7. start the Launcher, and direct it to install DXKeeper 8. start DXKeeper; if DXKeeper's settings are missing, terminate DXKeeper, direct the Launcher to recover DXKeeper's settings from the Workspace you created in step 3, and then restart DXKeeper 73, Dave, AA6YQ |
Re: Display more memories
Dave's Commander manual says (and maybe this can help you): To help keep track of each memory's purpose,? you can record notes that pop up whenever the mouse cursor hovers over the memory's Sel button. To record such notes,? depress the Ctrl key while clicking the Sel button; Commander will display a Memory Notes Editor window that allows you to capture notes:
You can direct Commander to display each memory's notes in place of its frequency, mode, and filter -- simply click the command button captioned ~ in the upper right corner of the memory bank panel. To return to a display of memory frequency, mode, and filter, click the ~ button again. |
