Re: Using Dxlab to submit more DXCC entities to total

Hi Dave....I used the link you provided and checked the process for
verifying the original submission I made
4 years ago. I had done this entirely through LOTW submissions and I
followed the instructions on page 5 of your doc
Where I was in the Check progress tab and submission tab, checked the LOTW
contribution box, hit the verify submission button
And nothing happened that I saw. When I check the DXCC progress report,
first section verified Honor roll countries shows 5 mixed.
Next section Confirmed DXCC countries shows 265 mixed (whats the difference
here?)
How do I find out what I got credit for 4 years ago from ARRL??
Casual looking through my log shows me no "V"s in any LOTW QSL RCVD column
any where.
What do I need to do to update this properly to show the verified 200 DXCC I
got credit for 4 yrs ago??
Thanks in advance.

Hi Dave and all..I submitted for and received my DX Century Club award in
2020 with initially 200 DXCC countries.

+ Did you update your logged QSOs to reflect the granting of DXCC award
credits, as described in the

"Updating Logged QSOs to Reflect DXCC Credit Granted to Submitted QSL Cards"

+ and

"Updating Logged QSOs to Reflect DXCC Credit Granted to Submitted LoTW
Confirmations"

When I attempt to enable DX Atlas in the DXView-Config-World Map panel, the enable button is grayed out. I am running Win11 on 64 bit pc and v2.4 of DX Atlas.
I saw some older posts in the archives about a work around, but couldn't figure out the fix. Can someone who has solved this issue help?

Dave, we are again configuring our remote station that is using Starlink.? We have smartlink up and running and we are slowing trying to integrate DX Labs back into our home computer.? We are starting with Commander and we have an issue that I will try to explain.? I have configured the General Tab within Commander Configuration with the IP Address of my home computer, and listed the IP Port as 4992.? The Radio setting is SDR-6500 and the Command interval at 200ms with Span Dwell of 10.? I did type in the serial number of the remote 6500 but understand that is not needed.??
When I hit "Reset", the VFO B comes up with a frequency of 14257.20 and the VFO A reads the remote radio.? The problem is it does not appear to be "synced" with the SDR software as when I change the frequency on the radio from my SDR software on the home computer, it does not move the frequency in VFOA.? If I hit reset, it does change the frequency.? It is if it is not updating.? I know this is not right but I have exhausted what other changes I need to make.??
We are slowly working to get DX Labs work so when we work a station, it will automatically log into Keeper.---but got to get past this hurdle first.
Any ideas?
+ My 6500 is directly connected to my PC via an ethernet LAN; Commander controls it correctly. Based on feedback here, everyone else with a Flex Signature directly connected to their PC has the same experience.

+ I am not familiar with SmartLink; there is no support for it in Commander - if specific support is actually required. Perhaps someone here with SmartLink experience can help you; if not, try Eric KE5DTO at FlexRadio.

That did the job.
+ I'm glad to hear it!

By way of background, ?DX Commander has not been working for several weeks. ?I finally figured out that there was a bad Windows update on 1/17. ?Once I un-installed it and did a re-installation today that solved the problem for DX Commander.?
+ When a DXLab application stops working and you can't quickly restore it to operational status yourself, it is best to seek help here right away, as the "environmental changes" that might be responsible will be fresh in your mind.

I get a message on WSJT-x...Failed to connect to DX Lab Suite Commander. Connection refused.

+ Has this always been the case, or is this new behavior? If the latter, when did this behavior begin, and what changes did you make to your hardware or softare around that time.

+ On the General tab of Commander's Configuration window, click the "Net Serve" button along the right margin of the tab. In the "TCP Network Service" panel of the "Network Service" window that appears, what is specified as the Base Port? If it's not 52000, click the Default button followed by the Restart button.

If there's any documentation for interoperating with GridTracker, I could not locate it. The documentation page says "it's one the way", but is otherwise empty:
?
https://gridtracker.org/index.php/documentation/user-guide-wiki

I scanned a video showing how to enable Grid Tracker to interoperate with WSJT-X and a logging application. This enables Grid Tracker to display the locations of the stations decoded by WSJT-X, and QSOs logged in WSJT-X to be sent to the logging application. All of that functionality an more has long been provided in DXLab, either via its direct interoperation with WSJT-X or via JTAlert.

IF there were documentation, the number of external world maps that DXView supports could be increased from 2 (DX Atlas, Google Maps) to 3. Comparing this map in GridTracker?

with this map in DX Atlas

or this map in Google Earth

doesn't sent me racing to the keyboard on my DXLab development system.

Recall that a year or two ago, a release of GridTracker automatically at startup directed LoTW to download all of its user's submitted QSOs, thereby activating LoTW's undocumented "download abuse detector", which then prevented the user from employing DXKeeper to upload QSOs to LoTW or sync with LoTW. Senior ARRL personnel blamed this on DXKeeper. The GridTracker developers were less than responsive, but eventually did correct their defect; this history doesn't make me anxious to work with them.

The only possible justification for GT is if one were using LINUX - in
which case DXLab Suite and JT Alert would be non-starters.

Likely right, Dave.? I'm just reporting what happens on my Windows 11 system.? Still wondering why it collapses randomly in the first place. Until A92GE mentioned it, I thought I was the only one seeing this behavior.?
