Re: sync requested to lotw, all or nothing?

+ AA6YQ comments below
sync to LOTW seems to be an all or nothing model.
?
i had a list qso's and the from "add requested",? then did UPLOAD to LoTW.? ?The entire signed block of QSO's fails because ONE of them is already in LOTW.??
?
is it possible to "sync requested to lotw, report on failed Q's but accept the balance of the others? on the list that did NOT fail " ???
?
+ If you upload your QSOs to LoTW from DXKeeper, it will never be the case that "Add Requested will populate the QSL Queue with a QSO that has already been submitted to LoTW.

+ If you upload a QSO to LoTW using some other application, and don't change that logged QSO's "LoTW QSL Sent" item in DXKeeper to to 'U', then?
Add Requested" will add that QSO to the QSL Queue, and when you invoke "Upload to LoTW", TQSL will reject the entire batch of QSOs in the QSL Queue because of the presence of that one QSO that was already submitted. We modified TQSL to work this way in 2013 because many ops (not DXLab users) were resubmitting all of their logged QSOs each time they made a few new QSOs. So we equipped TQSL with a database to keep track of each QSO that its user has submitted to LoTW, enabling it to reject any batch that contains an already-submitted QSO.

+ To correctly avoid this situation, either use DXKeeper exclusively to upload your QSOs to LoTW, or if you use another application to upload some QSOs to LoTW, update those QSOs in DXKeeper to reflect the fact that they've already been submitted to LoTW.

Re: CLUBLOG Never saw this before. What did I do

+ AA6YQ comments below

This list does not support HTML - including attachments or embedded screen shots. Manually enter the contents of the ClubLog error message.

If you are referring to a "Rejected" message for TO4A, that is because of the "ambiguous" prefix and that ClubLog had not updated their override (mapping) files to include this weekend's operation by VE3DZ.

It appears that the mapping has been added today so upload that QSO again.

BTW, the "Rejected" message was reported to Dave on Saturday and he has already updated the developmental code to process it properly.

+ That was necessary because the "Rejected" message had never before been encountered or documented.

Does this answer your question?

?Log Page Display entry will be rendered in red font if its Callsign, Band, and Mode match those in the Capture window; this can help avoid making duplicate QSOs.?

TQSL hasn't used the word "duplicates" in some time. It's "previously uploaded QSOs" for current versions, soon to change to "previously signed".

As for the Logbook limit of "repeat" QSOs, it's not 50 repeats, it's 500 as far as I know.?
?

but how many can it handle and for how long? Surely TQSL does not have a database of everything you ever uploaded? Just curious how this works.

Yes, TQSL has a database of all of the QSOs it signs.? As Dave said, this was added many years ago.

Google Earth Enabled but doesn't start until I hit Sync button

I have enabled Google Earth on the DX View Worl Map configuration screen.? When I hit the Sync button it works well for the rest of my operating session!? Neat Tool.....Thanks Dave.
?
I shut down at the end of my radio session using the Dx Lab Launcher.? It closes all of the DX Lab components but leaves Google Earth and Multipsk still running.? I then close them manually.
?
The next day when I start DX Labs with the launcher, all programs start back up including Google Earth.
?
But Google Earth doesn't do anything until I open the Config on DX View and hit the Sync button again.? Then it works for the rest of the operating session.
?
Am I missing a check box to automatically reconnect or sync?

Actually LotW now has duplicate QSO rejection - it's
somewhere around 50 duplicates (previously uploaded QSOs)
and the server dumps the upload.

+ If that's now the case, then on the Main window's QSL tab,
?
1. set the "QSL Via" panel to LoTW
?
2. clear the QSL Queue
?
3. click the "Add Requested" button; this will populate the QSO Queue with all QSOs not uploaded to LoTW

4. click the "Upload to LoTW" button

5. wait 24 hours (since there was a contest this past weekend)

6. click the "Sync LoTW QSOs" button

7. click the "Sync LoTW QSLs" button

8. in the Filter panel at the bottom of the Main window's "Log QSOs" tab, click the LoTW button; do any QSOs appear in the Log Page Display?

How many of these can? be uploaded again?

+ All of them.

If they are really duplicates will he be kicked off

+ No. It is TQSL rejecting the "already uploaded QSOs", not LoTW.?

or is it likely shutting down prevented that large number from being uploaded and he will not see many duplicates?

+ Given the unfortunately shutdown, there is no way to know which QSOs were uploaded and which were not. Re-uploading them all is the only way to ensure that all are uploaded.

Re: JTAlert Spots to SpotCollector?

Is either SpotCollector or JT Alert running as administrator?

Make sure your firewall allows access for both JT Alert and SC.

JT Alert posts spots to SC using DDE not UDP.
