One of the things that I was surprised and pleased about after installing Windows 7 is that when I plugged in my K1EL WKUSB keyer, the USB driver installed automatically without a hitch and it worked right off the bat with no hassle. That Keyer has a USB to serial port chip in it, model FT232RL manufactured by FTDI. I wouldn't be surprised to find that Microham is using the same chip (Joe?). I just did some Googling for FT232L and found that there are a number of manufactures making USB to Serial port adapter cables utilizing that chip and most are selling for between $10 and $20. If any one has tried or is willing to try one of those I'm sure members of this group would like to hear about it.
