this is my first post on this group, that i'm lurking since I
started to use the Suite a couple of months ago.
Apart from being amazed by the software (is's really great, congrats
Dave!!) and the friendly air you can breath on this group, I would
like to know if anybody else did experiment my problems after
upgrading WW to the latest release.
In a word I'm having erratic problems on RTTY reception, I mean even
if properly tuned and even with strong signals and with very narrow
band pass filter, suddendly but regularly, I see on the screen
casual letters for 20-30 seconds which, of course, are not sent by
my fellow ham I'm in QSO with. This happens with both my radios, an
IC-7400 (=746Pro in Europe) and a FT-2000D, interface is a Microham
MK2R+.
If I switch to MMTY 1.65D on the same signal, the transmission is
properly decoded. As you probably know the 7400 has a built-in RTTY
decoder: well when WW prints those erratic characters, the 7400
decodes perfectly, and so does MMTY 1.65D, so the tuning is OK.
Any idea?
