This is accomplished via a collaboration between Commander and WinWarbler.
If the "Radio Model" specified in Commander is one capable of generating CW
from text via CAT commands, then Commander alerts WinWarbler, which enables
the "Xcvr Ctrl SW" option in the Keying panel on the CW tab of WInWarbler's
Config window. With "Xcvr Ctrl SW" selected for CW keying, WinWarbler
generates CW by conveying the text to Commander, which in turn uses the
appropriate CAT commands to direct the transceiver to send the text in CW.
At present, this arrangement works with the Kenwood TS-480 and TS-2000, the
Elecraft K2 (and hopefully the K3), and the FlexRadio SDR-1000 when running
PowerSDR. All of these transceivers support variants of the Kenwood CAT
instruction set, including the KY command used to generate CW.

Subject: [dxlab] DXLab's WW & KY CW COM
Gentlemen,
Just heard that DXLab's WinWarbler has implemented Kenwood's KY command
for sending CW via the CAT interface. Since PowerSDR also implemented
the KY command, it should be a snap to send CW via SDRxKs from WW.
Because KY using an alpha string there should be no timing problems at
all. Or more precisely any timing problems could be corrected inside
PowerSDR.
A WW user would have to tell us how to select KY for CW transfer to
PowerSDR.
Hope this helps,
