I don't think anyone has publicized a comprehensive "defects
repaired" list as of yet. The fellow who told me that the runtime
defect would be fixed in SP1 is responsible for Vista's runtimes, and
was pretty embarrassed that such a defect had appeared in a shipping
version.

From The Lockergnome newsletter this talk about SP1 says nothing
that makes me think that our problems with the display management
will be fixed!

of 2008, but will collect customer feedback from the upcoming beta
process before setting a final date.
Windows Vista SP1 is designed to not significantly change the UI or
to cause regressions in application compatibility.

SP1 will include five languages (English, French, Spanish, German,
and Japanese). A Service Pack containing all 36 of the languages
(including the original five) will be released about three months
later.
