+ A crash that occurs while writing a record to a database like your log can easily leave the records in that database's multiple tables in an inconsistent state. Partially-updated records are another possibility. If the crash was caused by a hardware failure, all manner of bad things can happen.
+ I suggest checking the Windows Event Log to see what actually happened. Preventative maintenance or replacement could avert a repeat performance.
