I was a little concerned with having RTS On, because the PTT light in
the USB Interface came on and stayed on, however, the radio was not
transmitting.
Check that the ACC plug is connected properly. The 13 pin DIN that
Kenwood (and Icom) uses can be inserted when rotated 180 degrees
("upside down"). Signals on the ACC connector (including PTT) will
not be correct when the DIN 13 is connected improperly.
I am going to try and get N1MM+ working with them now, but that
appears to need a different setting for RTS, which I don't understand
yet.
N1MM+ needs PTT on the same port as FSK/CW (for FSK RTTY). The example
shows that configuration which takes advantage of microHAM USB Device
Router's ability to split the hardware UART to two virtual ports - one
for CAT (RxD/TxD) and the other for DTR (CW)/RTS (PTT). Since RTTY in
your TS-440S is actually AFSK you can configure N1MM+ exactly the same
as DXLab Suite (Commander/WinWarbler) with PTT on the CAT port RTS line
and CW on a separate port.

I believe I have the USB Interface II and DxLab working together. One of the programs had the baud rate at 9600, where the IC-10 kit in the TS-440S needs 4800. Dave, Joe, thank you for your help.
