Re: Mouse sound
That¡¯s odd I was getting the sound with a brand new relay in the other rig then I took the brand new relay and put it into the rig I just got. Could this brand new relay be the problem? interesting!

Re: Mouse sound
I don't know what's causing that sound but at slow speed, at least to my ears, the very first part is a bit like the pinging sound made by relay contacts dropping out. That might be a clue but it also

Re: Mouse sound
Great to hear the tone, mouse squeak! There is a 0.01 uF resistor off the plat (pin 5) of V17. It joins with a 330 K resistor. Pull this junction point to ground and try the test. Gary W0DVN

That's exactly how I would have played it. My R-4C has a NB because I moved it from one I sold. Steve Wedge, W1ES Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana. Sent with [Proton

Re: PTO makes scraping sound
Possible? I just noticed that it's not a particular spot on the dial but rather it is two pieces of metal scraping at every 100 khz of the dial. Mark

Oh, I wasn't sure because when I looked in my TR-4CW (without RIT) it had all of them in there so I thought that was the way they came? Since I will be keeping my TR4-CW/RIT and eventually selling the

If you could record the sound, that could help. Else, I wouldn¡¯t be concerned as long as everything¡¯s working find otherwise. Steve Wedge, W1ES Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

Re: 42.5 and 43.6 Mhz crystals
This is how most TR-4C(any) came from the factory. The higher subbands were optional. If it was mine, I¡¯d just get a 28.5 -29.1. Not much around above 29. I¡¯ll look through my pile but I think
