Re: R4C Passband Tuning ?
It doesn't say how to get that little stop screw out of the band switch. I can see it. But don't see any way to access it short of removing the band switch.?Sent from my T-Mobile 5G Device

Re: Drake L7 10m modification
I just added a capacitor to mine, that¡¯s all it took. My SWR is 1.1 to 1.3 across entire 10m band with solid 1kw out and 60w exciter. Note: I did not add a capacitor to the 15m pi network as it

Re: CW Filters and Passband Tuning?
The way to check narrow filters and the IF alignment is to zero beat a signal and set the PASSBAND knob to 12 o¡¯clock. Maximum signal strength should occur with the pointer at 12 o¡¯clock. If this

CW Filters and Passband Tuning?
Group- I've installed the set of three Noble CW filters in my R4C, and I like them. I have noticed that if the 500 or 250 CW filter is selected, the passband center is no longer at zero (12 o'clock) -

Re: Drake L7 10m modification
Thanks Jim. I was wondering if someone out there had made there own input tuning coil for 10m instead of just adding a capacitor.?Sent from my T-Mobile 5G Device

I got the last LSB filter direct from Bill Frost when Drake had their clearance sale of all the Ham parts. Just because I could. I probably got a CW filter at the same time if it was available but I

Re: TR7 next problem
Also check the +24V from the PS board. C2108 can cause strange PLL issues as it fails, and it WILL fail eventually. This is a known failure point in the TR7. "Jim Harris via groups.io"

Re: R4C Passband Tuning ?
Bob & Group, I think I've got it solved. Using an IFR1200S (GPS ref) service monitor, I tuned the R4C and T4XC oscillators to 5645, as well as the AM oscillator. My R4C (recently back from service)
