Jim, I¡¯ve been thinking the same thing. OTOH, I have no idea what his sales figures are, vs pre-2020, and am not privy to his balance sheet. It could be a move to get a waffling buyer to commit.

Any processor that causes the output signal to not be a perfectly linear reproduction of the input signal creates distortion. Even ALC systems cause distortion, albeit usually small and not a problem.
