What has worked for me for years is to use an Ameritron/MFJ ICP240 or ICP120 to turn my amps on and off; the power switches in the amps are left on. ?However, in spite of the advertising, these are

Re: L7 fails to Key
Bob, The switch rebuild kits are indeed no longer available. The L-7 ON/OFF switch like the L-4B switch doesn't actually get "dirty".? The contacts? burn when opening and closing at the sine-wave

Re: OT: Coax bypass switches
I did look at the second section of the article, but I didn¡¯t notice that the author was using a different (higher power) style of relay than the general-purpose relays identified in the first part.

Re: L7 fails to Key
It is a very simple circuit. You can break it down to a diode, a switch, and a relay. Note that the Stby/Oper switch is double pole, the front panel lamp is interdependently switched. 73 -Jim NU0C

Wafer Switch Naming
The MN-75 schematic doesn't assign labels to any of the switches (or anything, for that matter). The MN-4C uses S3A/B/C to address the individual wafers on the bandswitch. The antenna switch is S4

Mark, Read the details on the page I referred to: This first section deals with inexpensive general purpose relays you can use for low to medium power through 220MHz, up to about 200w. The second

Is there a standard for the lettering of switch wafers? In other words - is wafer "A" closest to the panel that the switch is fastened to? Or is it the furthest out? - Jerry, KF6VB
