Re: connecting a set of paddles to a drake B-line station?
Justin- Looking at the T4XB from the back, starting from the left you have a small knob that is the vox delay control, then immediately to the right of that is the key jack, which is a 1/4" phone

Re: Drake R7 & TR7
Rocco, Together they make a fine pair. I use my TR7A and R7A all the time. For the cable, try this link: http://www.dl7maj.de/TR7-R7-cable.pdf This is covered in the manual but is easier to read on

Re: connecting a set of paddles to a drake B-line station?
You will need a keyer and it will need to have a grid block output that you just plug into the key jack. I have an MFJ-422E that I use. 73 de Mike, W1NR

Re: connecting a set of paddles to a drake B-line station?

Re: connecting a set of paddles to a drake B-line station?
Justin- You will need an electronic keyer capable of keying the voltages associated with older tube rigs. I use an old Logikey, it has provision for keying modern solid state TX as well as old tube

connecting a set of paddles to a drake B-line station?
FOlks, I¡¯ve got a Drake B-line station, the TX4, and the R4b, I¡®m assuming there is not a built-in keyer for the thing, so if I were to connect a set of paddles, what are the appropriate jacks

Re: TR7 Alignment

Re: Drake R7 & TR7
Yes, the R7 can connect to the TR7. The instructions for that connection are in the R7 manual, This allows the R7 to use the same antenna connected to the TR7. Nice combo. Been using mine like that

Re: Output power
Hi to the group. For output power, 2/3rds times input power (67%) will be very close for tube final. And about 1/3 on an avg type meter saying a long "Five" in SSB. The O'scope is very good for PEP.
