Sorry to interrupt but I have a TR-3 that is doing the exact same thing. I've checked all the tubes, cleaned all the sockets, controls, and the power plug, rebuilt the AC-4 power supply and it is putting out the correct voltages. I've checked the voltages on the vox tube pins, and when I key the mic or switch to X-CW I can here the relay click but I cannot get the plate amps to read above 0.05 and when I do key the mic or switch to X-CW the S-meter pegs above 60 db. So I am wondering if you have fixed the problem with your TR-3 and could share the secret. Thanks in advance.
