That may well be true but I will add that my phone is much safer resting several feet away from the workbench. :) If I damage a Tascam I have plenty of spares and they were much cheaper than a new phone. The trick to that was watch on eBay for units under $20 that are listed as "will not power up". Look carefully at the photos. If you can see that the HOLD switch on the side is ON you have likely found a bargain.
