It is unusual for an LDMOS amp to be quieter than your Alpha, so you
have done an exceptional design job with cooling.
*** Thank you. I used the largest heatsink available at heatsinkusa.com.
The fins are vertical for good convection, and stick out the back of the unit.
Most people seem to use heatsinks inside the box, totally dependent on a fan
at the end of the heatsink.

The Noctua fans are about the quietest available. And I used big ones - 140mm.
The power supply is a Huawei rack-mount unit. It has a tiny screaming fan. I mounted
the power supply in a large box, and replaced its tiny screaming fan with a big quiet
Noctua. Which flows more air, and you can only hear it if you stick your head right
next to the box - which is under the bed.

On the other hand,
the Alpha will be 15 dB cleaner on intermodulation.
*** Can't argue with that.
