Those are all excellent points. That's an unusual enough radio that someone might well bite on it if there was at least some indication of shipping to the US.? I'd guess ~20 lbs and a 2'x2'x2' box. (hopefully double boxed).

There's quite a number of JA sellers who provide shipping to the US and the prices are quite a bit better than I would have guessed.
