This "low tx audio" takes me back to when I acquired my first C-line.
When I got it home and fired it up it was full power on CW, but I
could never get more than about 60 or 70 Watts out of it on SSB.
I had put it down to bad audio amplification on the mic input, and
had started some preliminary voltage measurements before I had to
box everything up for my move back to VE6. I'm curious to see how
Richard does when he fires that radio up. He has a TR-3 he can
borrow a microphone for.
Maybe my low SSB power problem was just a wrong impedency mic. (I
have long forgotten what I had plugged in to the mic jack on that
radio.)
