I have shipped TR-4¡¯s. They all weigh?the same and are the same physical size. I can assure you that shipping will cost in excess of $25 just for the shipping charges. Like everything else, the cost of packing and shipping has gone through the roof.?
If you¡¯re gonna squawk about $48 to ship a $2000 item, you are not in the market for the item.?
Sheesh.?

If there is a rig out there for $2000.00 and ships for $25, I am in. That expensive of a rig is gunna be heavy. $100-200-300 boxing, packaging, insurance, shipping depending¡
I think the eBay guy is a lil over the top for his product line and making up product losses on shipping. His fees, in most cases, are all 50% of many product values¡ for those reasons, I would never buy from that kind of seller with listings on EPAY!

Someone doing this as a business isn¡¯t doing chickens#!t stuff like that. They either pay an employee to do it or contract it out to a UPS store or similar. The packing costs almost as much as the shipping, when done right.?
People like us selling maybe 10-20 items a year aren¡¯t in the same league as the pros.?
If you¡¯re buying a $2000 radio, an extra $25 for shipping isn¡¯t even in the noise.?

Charge USPS/UPS counter rates, and pay PirateShip/commercial account rates. It's a good way to skim a few more bucks from the buyer.

If you go to his E-Bay "store," there are a number of Drake items in "As New" condition.
Looks like a radio-flipper to me.
