I recently acquired a Drake TR-3 complete with AC-4 Power supply and a Microphone.

As I am complete newbie with Tube transceivers I have some questions.
?
- Setting up the transceiver is as Follows?
XMTR-gain = 0 (complete CounterClockWise)
LOAD = 0 (coimplete CounterClockWise)
Plate = middle
Band = on chosen band
RCVR gain a little bit open until you hear something (noise)
With RF tune peak for highest noise on chosen band .
Sideband = X
Switch mode to X-CW
Look at dial left upper corner to upper scale (plate amp¨¨res).
Turn up XMTR-gain a little until plate amp¨¨res starts to rise ( A little bit)
Turn Plate until you are in the dip off the plate amp¨¨res.
Turn Load till plate amp¨¨res is 0,45 Amp.
Swich mode to SSB.

Is this the way to Go?

- Which Microphone I have to use?
A high impedance one with how much resistance?
Is there a possibility to buy a new high impedance handheld microphone
wich will work with the Drake?
Preferabbly in Europe (EU) otherwise the postage and taxes will kill me.

- After setting up the Drake can I adjust the RF output power with the XMTR-gain ?
