Re: using 9600 baud output for Allstar instead of 1200

This is the easiest?way to change wiring to 9600 baud for DINAH.

Mobilinkd has such a cable commercially available:

Greetings:

Today, I got a cable made up for me that essentially reverses pins 4 and
5 on a standard 6-pin DIN. This basically does the same thing as jumping
the 1200/9600 pad on the? DINAH, but it's switchable by just replacing
the cable.

Now, the received audio from my Kenwood TM-V71A sounds much, much better
as it is sending flat, after de-emphasizing in SimpleUSB, and using the
DCS filter, than the AF-stage filtered 1200 baud. I don't like the
steepness of the PL filter, and the DCS filter does the job well enough
unless the radio is receiving a really high tone.

The TX audio is unchanged, as the radio's data port is still set to 1200.

Just a FYI for anyone who wants to improve their RX audio to Allstar, at
least with the TM-V71A. I can't speak for other radios, but this should
work the same for any radio that sends flat audio on pin 5.
