I check alsamixer and the mic was MM. I changed it but it didn't make a difference. Neither did changing packet speeds in the radio. I checked the jumper again on the board too. Set to Pin5 1200 bps.

At this point I am not sure what else to check. As I said, I am borrowing a friend's 8900 to see if it works. If it doesn't, then we are pretty confident it's the Dinah board.
