Protest the City Plans for Building Huge Towers in Jerusalem
The Jerusalem Municipality is?in the process of authorizing a?disastrous District Master Plan (Tochnit Haav) that will allow the construction of huge skyscrapers in the interior neighborhoods of the city. The plan, in several neighborhoods, is to destroy the Shikunim next door and replace them with Towers.

A huge effort is being waged to prevent this precedent-setting change to the Master Plan that will allow these towers to be built. This Mizmor praises the Torah in a
seemingly monotonous, repetitive 8-fold alphabetic order. Is this merely a long
collection of reiterative verse? Why is it placed between the Egyptian Hallel
and the collection of Shir Hamaalot?
?
The contextual interpretation (illustrated
throughout the course) will be applied to identify the narrative and messages
of this long mizmor (comprising?22 units of 8 verses). Additionally, the
perfect positioning of Mizmor 119 between the Egyptian Hallel (113-118) and the
Shirei Hamaalot (120-135) will be addressed, as will its correlation with the
beginning and end of the entire book of Tehillim.

Before coming to George Mason, he had been a professor at Northwestern University School of Law for 11 years. He is the author of dozens of academic articles in the leading law reviews and peer-reviewed journals. His scholarship has been cited in leading international law cases in the U.S. and abroad. Kontorovich, who made Aliya with his family in 2013, is a fellow of the?Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs?and heads the international law department at the?.
