IP address settings for DD mode IC-9700

Hello All,?
I am trying to connect a laptop to my IC-9700 setup in DD mode. The radio is connected to WX4GPB module A. How does one find the static address assigned to the laptop? I have found absolutely no information on this. If anybody know how to find this (even if it is for the ID-1) please give me some hints Thanks!!! |
开云体育Tidbit that may help clarify, the radio doesn’t have an IP address. If you registered on a G2 gateway, then the address was listed when you registered. If you don’t know what it is, you can probably pick something in 10.2.2.x and be safe. ? But I don’t believe that the Internet connectivity feature is working with G3 and it wouldn’t matter. ?You just need to set a IP Address consistent with who you want to talk to. ? Ed ? internet connectivity is working? with G3 but the Mtu? must be smaler than 1412 , mine is 1200?? . This is to avoid jumbo packet .
Hello Gents, ? ??????????? Here is the reply from ICOM America DSTAR system admins and engineering.?? Packet size has been limited to stop system crashes at gateway level, something G2 gateway software did not address.? This is a feature of G3 whether we like it not. ? ??????????? “Based on feedback to my DD MTU questions… ? G2 did not check a packet size. This sometimes caused G2 DD mode crashes when a jumbo frame was received from the internet. The DD mode was changed in G3 to check a packet size. The G3 MTU size is 1412.” ? ????????? ? ?
