Hi,

I’ve just received a used ID-1 that I bought off of eBay. ?Strangely, I can only tune from 1260 MHz to 1300 MHz. ?All the documentation I can find says that the range should be 1240-1300 MHz. ?I also tried the control/programming software, and it appears to have or enforce the same limitation. ?A full transceiver initialization does not fix the problem.

Does this problem sound familiar to anyone?

I see, that makes sense. The unit did ship from Japan!

Is there any sort of modification I can do to open it up for the US band? ?I wonder if Icom could help…
