ID-1 to ID-1 and internet connection
At one time someone published a file which is not on this yahoo group.
The subject was????? how to use 2? ?ID-1s without?a repeater and connect one to the internet and the other being able to access the web.
Does anyone have info to accomplish this ?

?Perhaps I'm not the most knowledgeable one to answer this but I'll
relate my experience ..
I built up a Slackware server with Citadel a year or two ago with
some help from your Linux team. ? I don't recall that I ever got the
DNAT part working but Citadel worked fine.?? I gave the Slackware
box a 172.16.0.x static IP address and put it on a hub with the RP2C
and the G2 server on the back end.?? The combination worked fine in
that I was both able to access the Slackware box (with G2 Server
down) and access the internet through the G2 Server.?? To access the
Internet through the G2 server, I had to change the IP address in
the ID-1 from a 172.16.x.x flavor to the 10.x.x.x IP address that is
assigned by the Trust server to the Call sign in the ID-1 during the
registration process.?? I'm pretty sure that at least the Local G2
server must be up for this to work and perhaps it would work with
the Call / IP Address cached locally but you would have had to have
communication with the Trust server at some point I believe
I saw this is the best of both worlds but I'm sure it could be
improved upon :-)

Gary, KN4AQ of ARVN & Ham Radio Now produced high quality video of the ARRL/TAPR DCCs (Digital Communications Conference)
in 2008 and 2009 (released on DVD), and 2011, 2012 and 2013 (released on high-definition streaming video).?
The videos covered every talk, including the Saturday banquet "keynote" and?
the Sunday Seminar, usually a four-hour "deep dive" into a single subject.?
The videos have been an invaluable resource for hams who weren't able to attend the sessions,?
and even for hams who were there in person and wanted a review.?
Gary, KN4AQ is based in North Carolina. Last year, he conducted a successful Kickstarter campaign?
to raise funds to cover both his expenses to travel to the 2013 ARRL/TAPR DCC (Digital Communications Conference) in Seattle and?
produce & make available on-line video of the entire DCC including all sessions.
The year Gary is conducting another Kickstarter campaign this year to cover his expenses to attend the 2014 DCC in Austin, TX and?record & produce the entire DCC again.?

Jim, ?? Why is it always the very last thing we suspect, turns out to be the issue?  Well, glad you got it straightened out.?? This will help others in the future. 73, Tom KC9ONY

Update after all the suggestions and being ready to pull the transmitter and send to Icom The problem was located and corrected. Without all the suggestions I would have just done that, However the vary last thing I suspected turned out to be the problem. The cable from the controller to the repeater (from Icom ) allowed the repeater to rec. but would not key the xmitter. Weeks of fighting the problem went away in five min. Who would have thought that everything else worked except one pin on a new cable. I guess there is something to say for starting from one end and checking all the possibilities ,it's just I started from the wrong end. The setup is as follows ,triplexer is a Bird ,with two cans for dd and four for dv. the hi side connected to xmit. port and the low side to rec Dv repeater on 1292.1 -20 .DD on 12523. Yes both are assigned to A and connected to proper ports .The dd port is connected to the only port available. on the dd repeater. Access to the repeater is thru a Id 1 . which works fine on A to C program (ID-1 to 880.) .I have proven the ID-1 out by a separate source ,freq are correct . Not sure if it makes any difference however a dv dongle on A does transmit . and rec ok. To do additional checks we hooked the mobile antenna directly to the repeater transmit side with no change . Have tried linking , E,I,U with no change. no other stations within range to try. Next is to change cable from controller, place SWR meter in line and see if any output. The ID-1 is within 5 ft of the repeater ,but antennas are 150 ft apart. The repeater is set to the curve from Bird frequencies .Have confirmed SN. with Bird and there is a match . The setup is as follows ,triplexer is a Bird ,with two cans for dd and four for dv. the hi side connected to xmit. port and the low side to rec Dv repeater on 1292.1 -20 .DD on 12523. Yes both are assigned to A and connected to proper ports .The dd port is connected to the only port available. on the dd repeater. Access to the repeater is thru a Id 1 . which works fine on A to C program (ID-1 to 880.) .I have proven the ID-1 out by a separate source ,freq are correct . Not sure if it makes any difference however a dv dongle on A does transmit . and rec ok. To do additional checks we hooked the mobile antenna directly to the repeater transmit side with no change . Have tried linking , E,I,U with no change. no other stations within range to try. Next is to change cable from controller, place SWR meter in line and see if any output. The ID-1 is within 5 ft of the repeater ,but antennas are 150 ft apart. The repeater is set to the curve from Bird frequencies .Have confirmed SN. with Bird and there is a match . Have tried on both hi and low power .If you need any more info please advise .Thanks Jim n8ovd 73

Do you have both 1.2GHz modules assigned as A in the controller? Are they connected to the proper ports?
Have you tested with your ID-1 talking to someone on simplex connected to the triplexer?
