We drive to a full stack existing repeater site, and swap out a Gen 2 440 module for a Gen 3 440, can we then also take out the existing RP-2C, and then have the bits left over for a whole new 440 DV only repeater??? We have tower sites all over, and local clubs are like "we like Fusion" or whatever- we could put in one of the new spare D-Star repeaters as no cost.? ?Maybe that was Ray's "secret plan" - the information technology textbooks say in "platforms" there is value in an increased number of connected nodes.? ?? |

开云体育I just had to load these in a hurry on Windows 10 /64 bit.? The newer Icom drivers work fine.? I copied them off the CD download to an easy place C:/id1.? You have to go into the old control panel hardware screens.? The default pop up windows would not allow this, it says it finds the hardware but will not allow you to over ride the location process which comes up blank.? ?It will eventually (remember Windows 95?) let you manually find the drivers.? You have to do this twice- once for the device once for the serial port.? ?? |

开云体育We bought a commercial 1.2 voice duplexer (TX/RX?) as I recall in 2008 for like $900.? Alan WB0ZKB made 1.2 duplexers and triplexers out of welded 4” aluminum square tubing pieces.? ?He made several six element kits for sharing the same GP-98 antenna for voice and DD data.? ? ? ? ? |
Re: 23cm Duplexer?
My experimenting is showing that it's not going to be too difficult to make a combination of notch and bandpass cavities from the 70cm?Sinclair Q3220E. Not going to try to make the combined notch/pass cavities, that gets too much into "magic". If necessary I can go with 2 antennas with the duplexer if I need additional isolation. Luckily I have a Tek 794P analyzer with companion tracking generator. First tried a NanoVNA-F but since it's working on harmonics at 23cm, it kept tuning on the 70cm resonances.

Re: Houston area 23cm
I work at I-10 and Campbell. I will plan to bring my 9700 one day and see if I can work your repeater, if it is on the air. Also, W5ZM replied to my post and said there is a repeater on 1292. The only repeater I have heard of was in the galleria and it was supposedly decommissioned sometime year.? My info is good on qrz. 73, Michael KD5DFB?
