Skill level: Intermediate. This tutorial assumes you know how to use basic menu tools and functions in Paint Shop Pro and Jasc Animation Shop. This?tutorial was written using PSP?version #12.

Materials: A tube. One that is taller than it is?wide may work best.

Let's begin!

1. Open?your tube.

2. Duplicate image and close original.
?
3. Resize your tube to a maximum of?200 pixels in width. Let the height self-adjust.?Take note of the height of your tube (you will need it in a later step).

4. Adjust, Sharpness, Sharpen (if necessary).

5. Edit, Copy.

6. From your tube, choose a?light color for your foreground. Choose a dark?color for your background.

60. Holding down your shift key, click on your dark checkers and dark 3 pixel side border.
Continue to click to choose any other parts of your tube you would like to add noise to.

*Note: If your magic wand is picking up more than the areas you wish to select, try lowering the tolerance level. Similarly, if your magic wand is not picking up the areas you wish to select, raise the tolerance level.
