Mordecai Farm
One of the oldest homesteads in Brea. It was originally created by the first colonists, the ancestors of the current Mordecai family.
The original structure was a large, round capsule home made up of a large open plan kitchen living area, two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a modest conservatory. The capsule was made up on weatherproof, insulated white material that kept the home warm in winter and cool in summer. It was covered in solar panels which powered all the electricals inside the home.
Since then the house has had several wooden extensions. There have been three additional bedrooms added, a small basic extra bathroom, and a children¡¯s playroom.
The homestead sits on several acres of land as it was intended to be a fully functional agricultural farm. Most of the land has been left to go wild with no one left to farm it. In the past few years, with the declining health an increasing alcohol consumption of Mordecai Sr., more and more of the land has gone to seed.
Now thee is a modest vegetable patch, a herb garden, and a poison garden, boxed in by fully grown hedgerow and a small little wooden fence. The gate to the property is out of sight of the main door, but there are plenty of security cameras around the property to inform the Mordecai family of any intruders.
