Characters: Rosalind, Old Man Cobbs
Rosalind: (...)?¡°I¡¯ll make sure to let you know if there¡¯s anything I¡¯ll require,¡± Rosalind assured him. Her bed would be colder without Virgil in it, but thankfully she¡¯d have Ella there at least. There was little that was more depressing than an empty bed and no one to share it with.¡±What¡¯s your business in Stob? I might want some materials to give to Nova for a new dress,¡± she said, already considering how to turn the situation into an advantage.

"Probably trade some livestock, got to keep the blood lines from inbreeding" he explained. Although he and Anna Crane had a deal when it came to cattle in Brea, since she had dairy and he had beef stocks. His ranch was mostly horses and Cobbs favored a good all purpose breed that could pull a plow for a farmer like young Felicity. Or a freight wagon for St. John. But still be fast and durable enough for messengers between towns.
He smiled at Rosalind, "I'll try to make the venture to Stob no thrills and quick. Virgil has already let me know how much trouble he'll have sleeping at the ranch alone". Cobbs mused because there were times that Virgil was still very much that boy from Ox Bow. He really should make the trip there one Spring soon, maybe cut through the Barrow as a shorter route...
"So a new dress, is there a special occasion?" he asked wondering if perhaps he forgot Virgil's birthday or something.
