Trying to download a Yaesu FT-270 and its not in the drop down.

If it's not supported, you can try one of these options, if available:

1. Look for a similar Yaesu radio in the list and try it, like maybe the model
before that one. You might see if you can send feedback on your model not being
supported yet on the official site. It won't change anything today, but it might
get them working on it soon if enough people request support for that radio. If
you're not able to download from the radio using a different model, then it
probably isn't close enough to work.

2. Check RT Systems and see if they have your radio supported. They support more
radios than CHIRP. They are not free, however. They do offer support for their
product.

3. Does Yaesu offer their own programming software for your radio? If so, try
that. It might not be as easy to use but if it's available, it might be worth
trying. I found out that one of my radios has programming software available
from their website. I used CHIRP since I wasn't aware of that.
