IC-2725

JeffG

Hi
I want to use CHIRP tp Programme my IC-2725e - cannot find it in the list. Will chirp work with this rig, and If so what substitute rig should I use?

Thanks G6EXF

Jeff

What happens when you pick the IC-2720H? Can you download the memories from the
radio OK?

If it's a completely different radio, I wouldn't bother, but they're both VHF
and UHF radios and look very similar.

Your next best bet would be RT Systems software if they cover your radio.

My guess is that CHIRP will work using the setting for the 2720 because when I
looked at RT System's offerings, the one for the 2720 says this:

"WCS-2720 works with authentic versions of this radio worldwide including the
IC-2720A, IC-2720H and IC-2725 (European)."

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you Donald

Yes with the right lead Chirp thinks it is a 2720
Works beautifully

Only downside is I cannot seem to find UK repeater lists through Chitp, Repeaterbook is only showing me American and?Canadian lists.?
I have the app on my phone and that has uk lists

Cheers and 73 de G6EXF

That would be good to let the Repeaterbook website know about. Maybe they need
to do something to make those appear. They made some changes a few months ago. I
don't know what those changes are, but if it's supposed to list them for you
over there and it's not, and if no one reports it, it will continue that way.

The above should get you a web form to contact them.

Just export the UK repeater list from the RepeaterBook website to a CHIRP compatible CSV file. Then import the CSV file into a CHIRP tap that is compatible with your radio.

Jim
Thank you, that has done the trick.? I have downloaded the repeater list into one .csv and will now create separate pages for different geographic areas I visit.

Having radio in my MGBGT during a Spanish Road trip in 1986 found us an MG mechanic on the Costa Brava when I burnt out the brake pads racing down the Pyrenees!? Having g a YL (Now XYL of 36 years) who speaks fluent Spanish did help

Cheers
JEFF G6EXF?
