Chirp with Retevis RT95
The Retevis RT95 is not under development. If there is a bug or missing feature a ticket can be opened and it will be looked at.
?
If you are getting a "some memories are incompatible with this radio" message, then some are incompatible. Sounds like you might be trying to import from repeaterbook so something similar. If you are trying to import a frequency that is identified as a digital mode repeater, then it will receive this message. If it is out of band, it will receive this message.
?
Without knowing what you are trying to enter, it is difficult to troubleshoot any further.

Name? (please),
I'm mentioning things that might have been overlooked here, just in case. Did you put the radio in programming mode first? I don't know the setting for that radio, but there should be a setting for that unless it's automatic when you hook up a cable to the radio. Did you first download the database FROM the radio? That sets up the file structure correctly so the radio will recognize it. After you do this, you make your additions or changes then upload to the radio. Some radios require the volume control to be wide open or open enough so the signals can pass through the audio circuit. Not all radios do this. Is the driver for the cable installed and recognized by Windows, Linux, etc.? Are you selecting the correct COM port for the operation? And anything else that I might have missed here: Donald KX8K On Thu, 28 Nov 2024 16:34:14 -0800, "Hank Tyler via groups.io" <tylerhster@...> wrote: I understand Chirp with Retevis RT95 is still under development, but thought I would give it a try. When I tries to load a bunch of frequencies, the UHF frequencies canme back with an error message that "some memories are incompatible with this radio". Is this typical with the current version of Chirp, or might something else be wrong, such as a radio setting? ---------------------------------------------------------------- There's no place like 192.168.0.1 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Some ham radio groups you may be interested in: /g/ICOM /g/Ham-Antennas /g/HamRadioHelp /g/Baofeng |
