CHIRP Help / Baofeng VU16 Pro

I have a quick question for the group. I have purchased a Baofeng VU16 Pro (Dual Band model). Somehow I have overwritten the base file I had saved when I got the radio before I started programming it with CHIRP. I have also reset the squelch settings and have set them too high. I have searched the web and have yet to find a copy of the base file.? I have checked out RT Systems, but they shouldn't be the only software to program he radio. I see so many others reference CHIRP for the Baofengs, I agree, I don't get all the features uploaded (I use Baofeng BF-F8HP) to program as my radio isn't listed (yet).
?
I hope I'm not breaking any rules but I'm also posting this to the Baofeng group in hopes of getting assistance also.
?
What I'm looking for is the following:
1.? Base file for the Baofeng VU16 Pro Dual Band radio
2.? The original numbers for the squelch settings for the VU16 Pro??
?
Thank you in advance

Your subject line has the model as VU16 Pro. Did you mean UV-16 Pro?

I've used both RT Systems and CHIRP on several radios. The RT software has a
nicer look and feel to it but they both have done a good job for me.

If you're having trouble with it, try opening the volume control wide open
before doing any data transfer. Some models use the audio channel when
transferring data. I had a problem with one of my radios until I read about
this.

A lot of CHIRP users either don't know for forget that they should save the first successful download, unedited, to a CHIRP Radio Images (*.img) file to be kept in a save place as a backup. A recent feature added to CHIRP-next is automatic backups. If you have downloaded from your radio using a fairly recent build of CHIRP-next, you may have one of these backups stored on your computer.
For Windows users, you can access the "backup" folder by...
1. Type "%appdata%" (without the " marks) into the Windows search box and press enter. The Windows file Explorer should appear located in the "Roaming" folder.
2. Double-click the "CHIRP" folder to open it.3. Double-click the "backups" folder to open it and see all of your saved backup files. Hopefully the file that you seek is there.

Do you mean UV-16 Pro? I believe that I have a brand new UV-16 Pro V2 that I recently received. My intention is to make sure that it is supported by CHIRP. I haven't opened it yet. If that is the radio that you mean and #1 doesn't work for you, I could dig it out to find the numbers.
