Chirp and crossband memories
John Geiger AF5CC
I am interested in whether using CHIRP to program memories into some of the Chinese mobile radios (not HTs) like the Anytones, QYT and TYT radios will let you store crossband memories, where you receive on one band (say 70cm) and transmit on another band (2m).? This would be useful for satellite operation.??
?
The Baofeng HTs let you store memories manually this way, but the operating manuals I have looked over so far for the mobile radios don't mention being able to do this.

开云体育Thanks for the information Jim, is there a way to find out which radios would support this? 73 John AF5CC Sent using Zoho Mail ---- On Mon, 15 Jul 2024 19:15:42 -0500 Jim Unroe <jru.groupsio@...> wrote ---

开云体育That is a great idea. I will try that.? I see the Anytone 778UV supports crossband operation in VFO mode, so it is usable on the satellites but it would be easier if you could store the different satellite frequencies in memory.? The menu item for it on crossband operation only works in VFO mode, not with memories. 73 John AF5CC Sent using Zoho Mail ---- On Mon, 15 Jul 2024 20:18:05 -0500 Jim Unroe <jru.groupsio@...> wrote ---
