Ik use always water on the EDM sinker if you got a fire you know why you gone use water, I have build the first EDM wire machine home build

I have experimented with both distilled and tap water as a dielectric fluid in a mini-edm machine.? While water works, the tool wear rate has been excessive.? I have been hoping to obtain some non-inflammable fluid for testing, but have not so far.? I have also considered silicone oil, which is non-inflammable, but it comes with its own problems.
Some of my experience with water as a dielectric fluid in the Mini-EDM machine is detailed in a summary written for a microwave electronics group.? I will try to post a copy in the EDM section of the group's files.
