manual mill is not a cost effective plan. A good Bpt manual goes for around $7000 add ball screws, motor mounts, motors, power supplies, driver cards and a PC control and you have just spent $6000 to $8000 on the retro fit and now your "new" machine is worth about $5000 - $6000. If you have room, just get a BOSS control machine and add a new control all for less than $5000. If you don't have room for both, sell the manual and take a vacation with the $2000 profit.
