Re: [C14] Carbin Fiber tube
My understanding is not that the carbon fiber will cool more quickly but that once it reaches equilibrium, it stays there. In contrast, the aluminum continues to cool throughout the night as the

Re: New Images
Hi Wayne. I was using a G11. When I bought that mount for the C14 I thought I would use the scope visual only, but then got bit by the CCD bug. The G11 worked only satisfactory and at f2.1. I did get

Kevin, Perhaps that is it. I am no expert so I am speculating with my thoughts. However, I do not understand how the aluminum would continue to cool and the carbon fiber not? Won't each type of

Re: [C14] Locking down mirror for Optec TCF-S
I would not see the need to lock the mirror down. Why do you think you need to lock the mirror down? You should only have to do a rough focus with the manual knob and then fine focus with the TCF. By

Ken, I really liked the M57 shot at f/11. Tack sharp! The 3.3 reducer seemed to degrade the images on the other two. You mention the AP1200 really improved performance, but didn't say over what? What
