I have a C 14 Edge that I use for video astronomy. Why not just defork the optical tube and put it on a heavy duty mount? ?Lou

Not quite Denis. My C14 Edge HD is mounted on a Paramount MX+"and I take 6-minute unguided subs without a problem. Here is my latest pic.

I have a Edge 14, and the OTA is an awkward heavy 45 pounds. I’m sure many can manhandle it no problem, but I find it difficult, so I don’t take it on and off except in a blue moon. It does not come in a fork mount, so you would need a GEM heavy enough to handle it.

I have an 11” love to have a 14”. Can I assume that the 14 can come with the fork mount? Also, how heavy would this setup weigh?
