I measured mine.
The clear aperture of the lens itself is 40 mm
The aperture of the field lens on my TV 35mm Pan is somewhere between
35-37mm (I can't get the ruler down the spout!!)so there should be no
issue using these in combination. I don't seem to get any shadowing.
BTW I find the 2" diagonal ungainly with this eyepiece so I use an
orion 2" SCT straight visual back. Means you have to get under the
scope for zenith work but it means the eyepiece doesn't unscrew the
vis back!!
