I think we all were wondering what you were up to, if?had you been messing with the lenses in the tube!
When I got my Edge back from repairs, I noticed shinny metal threads in the tube where the setscrews had been removed and replaced. Unfortunately the repair didn't solve the problem, so I didn't spend any time looking at it further, and sent it back again. I did notice that there was a huge difference in?how far the?setscrews had been run in, meaning simple centering of the plate in the tube?may NOT be correct for any given scope. They emphasized?to me that this positioning?was a?critical?to?meeting?their?flat field round stars criteria.?What I wonder about, is whether they had to tap out the tube and replace those SS's with the next size larger, because of issues with removing the originals? If they use permanent Loctite on the originals, that's possible.
