I have my dew heater under the corrector plate as well. The lip of the retaining ring is plenty big to hide it from the light path.?
When I had the scope apart to add the rear cooling fans and flocking it seemed like a perfect idea.
The thin wires run under the internal flocking down to a jack on the rear of the scope to the power controller.
?Using a short ?aluminum dew shield it is good all night (if set right).
Probably more than you want to get into, but it really works.
CERTAINLY not recomended for a scope in warranty!
