Cloudy nights forums are dominated by attention starved individuals who get an ego boost by dispensing "acquired" forum knowledge they have cobbled together over time. Now there are some individuals with a vast wealth of knowlege and low ego who do post, but they are definitely in the minority. I have been a member for 10 years or so but only have 60 posts. Reason? Amongst other things, if you correct someone who has 10,000 posts they take it personally. Then, it becomes irrelevant what the true answer is, as the conversation digresses into face saving agressive commentary.

Here is a thread that I commented on recently and realized afterwards I needed to pull back and quit posting.
