One trick I've used is to driil and tap? holes in the large bar and screw the small bar to it. Orion's cg5 bar for guidescope is long and cheap- if too long just cut it! Dan

Just got an 8" EdgeHD but the mounting plate is "CG5", which is sort-of Losmandy (but not really)?and I can put it on my AP-900.? It's a very nice "little" scope, tiny and toy-like compared to the C-14.? Produces very nice views.
I want to use it on my small Vixen mount but I don't see that Celestron offers any Vixen style mounting bars.? I guess I'll go the?Orion store to see if I can adapt any of their hardware.? Unless anyone has a?better solution?
