Just wanted to say hello to the group!
I just joined yesterday and will be collecting a C11 EDGE HD tomorrow, so very excited.
Would anyone be able to give me some advice on Focusers for the C11 EDGE? I've read through the white paper and various threads and I understand the limited back focus on these OTAs but I wanted to see if my assumptions were correct.
I have a Starlight Feathertouch Crayford (FTF2015BCR-LW) which I was using on my previous Meade, I really do enjoy using it and it was only yesterday I found that may be an issue going forward as the dealer flat out told me it would not work. I know that Starlight do offer an adapter but it seems this is aimed at the regular C11.
For visual I don't think it's possible to use along with my 2" diagonal as after speaking to Televue and Starlight I would be at 177.8mm so it seems like I could not possibly use it in this configuration for visual.
For imaging, I have yet to purchase my planned Mono CCD but I do use a Mallincam X2 and SSIc which I would obviously use without a diagonal but as the focuser alone uses 76.2mm it seems it may be possible depending on my imaging train, especially if decide to try out the Celestron OAG.
Does anyone have a similar setup? Should I just resign to the fact that this focuser is not really compatible and sell it? :/ I will be sure to miss it in that case but I guess I could grab one of those micro focusers for fine focus.
