Sorry but it did sound like you were looking at just starting.
For your multi-day field setup you may be interested in a Telegizmos cover. I have used one for my C-11/Mach1 for continuous months over a three year period of time with no issues.
I am curious as to why you believe that the C-14 will be difficult to guide?
